Awards program
The mechanics who actually show up, market by market
RIG runs an annual award in 20 freight markets. Each edition recognizes the mobile diesel mechanics doing the best work in that metro — ranked from real breakdowns dispatched, completed and paid through the RIG network, plus votes from the drivers, owner-operators and fleet managers who had the work done.
Shops can’t buy a place and there’s no entry fee. Each edition publishes its own methodology, and every site says plainly that it’s part of the RIG network.
Ranked from finished work
Every ranking starts with jobs that were dispatched, completed and paid — not directory listings or self-reported claims.
One angle per market
Response time matters most on some corridors, first-visit fix rate on others. Each edition scores what that market actually cares about.
Drivers get a vote
Polls stay open year-round on each site, so the next edition reflects the people who were standing on the shoulder.
Editions by region
Grouped the way freight moves rather than by state lines. Each edition is its own site, with its own rankings, methodology and open poll.
