The Rig Driver app

Broken down? See your mechanic coming.

Request tire, tow or mobile repair from the app, compare offers from nearby mechanics, and watch yours drive to you on the map. A Rig dispatcher is in every job chat.

How it works

Three steps from stuck to rolling.

  1. 1

Tell us what happened: tire, tow or service, your truck and where you are.

  2. 2

Nearby mechanics send offers. Compare them and accept the one you want.

  3. 3

Track your mechanic to the truck, chat with them and Rig Dispatch, and pay in the app when the work is done.

What’s in the app

Know who’s coming, and when.

Live location tracking

Once you accept an offer, you and your mechanic see each other on the map until the job is done, with the arrival time at the top of the screen.

One chat for the whole job

You, your mechanic and a Rig dispatcher in one thread. Send photos and voice notes. En route, on site and done show up as cards right in the chat.

Price changes need your OK

If the job changes once the mechanic is on site, they send a new price and nothing moves until you approve it.

Pay when the work is done

When you accept an offer, your card is pre-authorized, not charged. The mechanic is only paid after the work is completed, and a price change only adds the difference.

Every job in one inbox

Each request keeps its own thread and status, so you can pick up where you left off. If dispatch changes your mechanic, the app tells you.

Offers you can compare

Nearby mechanics send offers with line-item prices. Open any offer from the chat, compare, and accept the one that works for you.

Call when you need to

Calling opens as soon as you accept an offer, so you can talk to the person who is coming.

A real dispatcher in every chat.

Rig Dispatch watches every job. If a mechanic runs late or a job stalls, a person steps in, in the same chat, 24/7.

FAQ

Rig Driver questions

Where does Rig have mechanics?

Rig’s network has 6,000+ mechanics and shops across the lower 48, from the interstates to the last mile.

What does the app cost?

The app is free to download, with no membership and no fee to request help. Rig’s service fee is built into the offer you see: the price you accept is the price you pay, by card or EFS in the app when the work is done.

Can I get help without the app?

Yes. Chat with us at bigrig.app/help or call 1 (855) 744-2223, 24/7.

Why does the app use my location?

To send nearby mechanics your request and, once you accept an offer, to show you and your mechanic to each other until the job is done.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open the menu, go to Profile and tap Delete Account. Full steps are on our support page.
